"This gate is a fantastic investment. I have it on my kitchen because I can't be doing with a tricky, cheaper, hard to open gate on a busy walkway like the kitchen.Easy to install, easy to use, don't even have to lift any levers to close it as you can just push it close, looks very stylish and the silver compliments my kitchen addtions. Will be buying one for the bottom of the stairs, only wish they did it in white also.[...]" |

"Fantastic aesthetics and extremely functional. Better than the cheaper end of the market. If you have flat walls with no obstructions this is a 10 minute job for an average DIYer to do - just 6 holes (3 in the wall and 3 in the banister for me). However, the top of our stairs has a window sill overhanging and also a hand rail, the balsutrade also has a square top. These issues made fitting much more difficult as you have to slide the product vertically and square into the fixing brackets. Luckily the fixing brackets can be played with (the plastic end stoppers can be removed - this methid is not in the instruction book, I had to improvise - drill 3 holes first, line up, remove stoppers at top and bottom, swivel fixing bracket on the centre hole, slide in from underneath, out screws in top and bottom holes, re-attach stoppers), so I was able to slide in the gate fixings from underneath. I also had to remove our hand rail - so in all took me an hour and a half, although if I were to do…" |
