"Warning: You will need a degree in mechanical engineering to fit this and the instructions are completely useless."

"Good product,but some improvement needed"

Review date: 18/02/2014

"Bought two of these for top and bottom of stairs. The wood colour is great and fits in with our staircase. Much nicer looking than the bulky white pressure gates we had previously. It is easy to open and close however the little nobble that stops it opening the wrong way ceased being useful after a…"

"Very well made product."

Review date: 12/01/2014

"I actually bought these for my Newfoundland dog- he was able to open the previous plastic handled ones I had, but these gates are ace, theres no way hell be getting through these! Im also expecting my first baby soon and theyll be just as useful for further on down the line when baby is more mobile!…"

"Looks better than metal"

Review date: 17/12/2013

"We bought two of the beech wood versions because the wood looks better than white or black metal. It took me less than an hour to install and all the screws and templates for positioning the hinge/lock hardware on the door frames makes this very easy. All that is needed is a screwdriver, brad awl…"

"Great for Grandparents!"

Review date: 07/12/2013

"As Grandparents we want the peace of mind of secure gates to protect re stairs, but we dont want to be battling a stair gate when our grandchildren are not here! This is the perfect solution as it can be taken out of small fixing points to be brought back and easily snapped into place when they next…"

"I would buy again if needed"

Review date: 21/10/2013

"Fairly simple to fit. Works well and the single hand operation is easy enough for when carry with the other. Nice not to have the floor rail, that other gates have as they hurt if trodden on. A much safer product and doesnt reduce the width of access as other "friction" style gates can do."

"Absolutely fine"

Review date: 24/08/2013

"Its true that this IS quite a straight forward stair gate, which isnt very complicated, but I was so glad to have read other comments on here about the instructions before attempting to construct it myself. The graphical instructions are pretty useless and I actually just copied the picture on the…"

"Great buy"

Review date: 23/08/2013

"Easy to install, this gate opens easily with one hand and being wooden it doesnt look out of place with our furniture. The gate is sturdy as my 9 month old likes to try and pull it from the wall, something our previous non-wall mounted gate couldnt cope with! Great buy, Id definitely recommend."

"I use this safety gate at the top of the stairs and its great as it is really easy to open and close unlike the one we bought first for the bottom of the stairs. I would recommend highly."

"A great buy"

Review date: 15/08/2013

"We bought two of these gates for top and bottom of the stairs. I had originally wanted a pressure fit but the extensions were out of stock so opted for this because it looked prettiest. Its fairly basic and wasnt difficult to assemble (so The Man tells me) and I definitely think it looks better than…"
