Complicated but worth it!Review date: 01/10/2009
By Busy Mum from Northants, UK on 01/10/2009
Pros:Easily Stowed
Cons:Hard to set up
Best Uses:Short Trips, Infants
Describe Yourself:Parent of Two or More Children

"Extremely complicated to set up, and still needs regular adjustments to the fixing points on my Tandem buggy as it becomes loose and unstable. But it does allow me to transport 3 children under 2 safely, and they seem comfortable using it."

Terrific idea I wish I had thought of!Review date: 22/09/2009
By Caitlin & Dylans mum from Glasgow on 22/09/2009
Pros:Comfortable, Easy To Steer, Sturdy, Durable, Lightweight
Cons:Doesn't Clip in Easily
Best Uses:Short Trips, Toddlers
Describe Yourself:Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"This is an ideal product for a toddler who likes to walk most of the time but whose legs get tired. My 2 year old refuses to sit in a buggy until her legs are tired so a double buggy wasn't needed but I'd end up carrying her back if we went for a walk with a single one. This seat is great. Is easy to carry around as fits onto the pushchair folded away but is a sturdy seat when needed. The only problem is it's hard to clip on and off your pushchair so have a few practices before you go out with it. Apart from that it's a great product I wish I had thought of. Everyone stops to ask where I got it from and wants one!"

"I brought this for my 2year old for the school run and short trips. Very hard to fold away and to set up. When i go up and down curbs it feels very unsafe and it leans to one side making it very uncomfortable for the rider I'm always straightening it up. It also makes the steering very hard the pram veers to the right so your battling with the pram to go in a straight line unless your on level ground. I have been using the old single pram and putting the baby in a sling which he loves and it's faster than clipping the pod on!!"

"I was desperate but not anymore...My 21 month old didn't want to go in his buggy any longer and was great walking on his reins, that was until I came home from hospital last week with our baby daughter. Went out with baby in her Silvercross Pram, toddler on his reins and he wasn't having any of it, threw massive tantrums, wanted in the pram!!! I knew i would have to buy a double buggy! Then i came across the buggypod. I was slightly nervous to buy but then read a review from a lady who stated she wish she'd purchased it before a double buggy. So i took the plunge and purchased...THE BEST BUY I'VE EVER MADE. [...] hubby fitted it wihtin 20 mins, went out with it today, son loved it, i loved it...we were all happy :o) This is well worth every penny...even had other shoppers commenting on it."

"Although tricky to setup it is well worth it. It is ideal for our toddler to hop on and off, and she loves it! It is also lightweight and alot easier to handle than our old heavy forward facing buggy. It takes up less space in the house too."

"My daughters are 15 months and 3yrs 3months and i have had 3 different double/tandems in the last 15 months but wish i had bought this from the start! Perfect for my daughter who always wanted to walk and never get in the pram but soon got tired, meaning i pushed a half empty pram around most of the time but still needed somewhere for her to sit when tired. Found it quite easy to set up -was a little worried after reading other reviews- but had no problem. It does have to be removed from your pram when you need to fold it up but is really simple to do any only takes a few seconds, only thing i would say is i found the buttons to fold it very stiff at first so have good few practices to loosen it up before you take it out. Have tried it on both my basic buggy and my sturdier Chicco for me stroller and obviously its easier to push on the sturdier stroller. Cant recommend this highly enough just wish i hadnt let my husband talk me out of it 15 months ago, should of had it from the start."

It may be OK if it can be fitted!Review date: 29/07/2009
By KevinBree from Ayrshire, UK on 29/07/2009
Pros:Sturdy
Cons:Not Adjustable, Doesn't Clip in Easily
Best Uses:Have been unable to use
Describe Yourself:Grandparent
Bottom Line:No, I would not recommend this to a friend

"When we fixed it to the buggy it appeared to be fine until we found that the buggy would not fold. When we tried moving the fixing to allow the buggy to fold we found the fixing screw would not tighten enough. Five days down the line we are waiting for a mechanical engineer to visit and see if he can make it work. Check out the disclaimers on the Kiddiecare website before you buy."

"Very much a hidden gem in disguise"Review date: 15/07/2009
By Watson from Pudsey, Leeds, England, UK. on 15/07/2009
Pros:CONVENIENT, Durable, Versatile, Easily Stowed, Lightweight, Comfortable, Practical, Aesthetic
Cons:Intricate setting up, Footrest is not practical
Best Uses:Toddlers, Short Trips, Dextrous
Describe Yourself:Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"At first it is an intricate item to set up on your current buggy (following the few instructions provided); however perseverance, strength and patience will win out at the end of the day producing a result that is very much more than satisfactory – A blessing in disguise to the discerning parents of two children under 36 months!!! Also be prepared to be stopped in supermarkets, streets and cafés by other parents/grandparents who seek to know where the "Buggy Pod" came from and how to purchase one - We found that carrying a pen and a piece of paper to write down the details saved us time when in a rush. The Buggy Pod is dextrous when out and about by allowing our 30 month old to help push the additional buggy and enabling the 30 month old to "hop on and hop off" every time they wanted to walk. On the downside the Buggy Pod's back-rest is rigid therefore does not recline and allow the child to sleep - so be prepared it is not for long journeys. Also not suitable for rough ground and…"
