"This bed was bought to encourage my daughter to leave her cot and move into a big girls bed. The mattress is very comfy and i think that it is a great bargain for the price, as everything you need is included. Fab product."

"Cute looking bed, which comes with almost everything you need - we only had to buy sheets. The bed frame is fine for the price, it's a nice simple design. Yes, as others have said some of the screw holes aren't perfectly aligned, but it took my partner less than 10 mins to assemble with no tools, other than the allan key provided. The matress is a good fit for the frame, its comfortable and the removeable, washable cover is a great idea. The bedding provided is a good fit, feels ok once washed with plenty of softner, it's nice bright colours and in my opinion, looks better in real life than in the pictures. The quilt is again fine after it's been washed, the pillow is quite thin and has man made fibre filling, which wouldn't be my choice, but my daughter isn't used to having one, so it will be a good starter pillow for her. Down side - the bed guards are too small to be of any use to my wriggly 2 year old (but at least she doesn't have far to fall), so I will be buying some seperate…"

"Great value for money, mattress is a good quality and the duvet cover is great for having as a spare should any accidents happen in the night. The Pillow is not very thick but again for the money its great to have as a spare."

DisappointingReview date: 10/04/2010
By LCP100 from London on 10/04/2010
Pros:Comfortable, Attractive Design
Cons:Hard to Assemble
Best Uses:Toddlers

Bottom Line:No, I would not recommend this to a friend

"Disappointing because (a) the holes for the screws in the bed frame don't match up with the holes in the side rails, so I've had to leave one hole screw-less. (b) the quality of the paintwork on the frame and head/ends isn't brilliant. There are even about ten tiny holes in the wood where pieces have been nailed together in the factory out of alignment so the nails have come through to the surface. I know this is a cheap bed compared to others, but I still expected a decent level of quality. Also, the pillow provided in the package is useless, it's tiny so doesn't fit toddler bed linen. The duvet is good and the cover/pillowcase, while scratchy, will hopefully soften when washed a few times. This is a shame as I have always been very happy with kiddicare products in the past. This one is just not up to scratch."

"Great toddler bed. Easy to put together and big enough to stretch out after being in a cot. Not sure how much 'bouncing on the bed'it would take as doesn't feel all that strong."
